WP Antwerp and WP Ieper joined efforts to organise another live stream party. Jeroen came all the way from Ypres to Antwerp and Werner & Veerle reorganised their living room for yet another live stream party. This time we watched all the sessions from WordSesh EMEA, a fine curated single track virtual conference about all things WordPress-related.
A fine group of 7 meetup’ers showed up, nearly all staying for the long run: sessions and hallway chats from 9:00 to 21:00! Thank you Brian Richards (WPSessions) for organising and the sponsors (check them out on WordSesh.com). And special thanks to Joris for bringing koffiekoeken, W&V for filling their fridge and the pizzeria around the corner.
Along the way we had plenty of between-sessions time for debugging site issues, testing WP5.3, some live jazz (WP4.8, Bill Evans) and some chess 🙂
Why a live stream party?
The concept of the live stream parties is simple: get together and attend an online conference together.
Why get together when you can watch from home? Well, often one of the best tracks at a conference is the hallway track: that’s where you meet peers, discuss the sessions and learn from each other. The streaming parties provide just that: hop by during the next one!
Do you know of a fine (WordPress-related) online event and you want to watch it together? Ping Jeroen or Veerle and we’ll check it out! (Note: You can always host a meetup yourself too, ping us if you want more info.)
